The floating roof design has been the most widely used system for storage of petroleum products.

Charter Industrial’s internal floating roof consists of float tubes joined together by clamp beams on the deck skin and are fitted and equipped with a continuous closure device (primary / secondary seal) between the tank shell and the floating roof edge.

The purpose of the internal floating roof is to have a minimal vapor zone above the stored liquid.

Key Features/Benefits

The Charter Floating Roof reduces product evaporation to the lowest attainable percentage.  This is achieved by effectively eliminating the gap between the floating roof and the product itself as much as possible.

Stay compliant with EPA regulations by choosing Charter’s vapor loss prevention internal floating roof products.  Our internal floating roof also complies with API 650 Appendix H.  Minimize vapor loss, carbon emissions, increase storage efficiency.

Our internal floating roof is designed with easy access for maintenance operations.  Access ports are integral to allow in-use maintenance access.  This is a key/critical component to ANY internal floating roof.
